I checked into the Farmers Kitchen Hotel on Wednesday 23rd April for a two-night stay during the Easter school holidays with my two sons aged eight and eleven. We received “10 Star” treatment from once we stepped over the threshold of the front door. • Michelle was on duty on reception, and she was welcoming, professional and made us feel settled within minutes. She was so understanding in terms of her engagement with the boys. • The hotel room was clean and tidy, as one would assume such standards. The hotel has an extensive selection of amenities suitable for young children within minutes of the hotel, for example, Leisure-Max, Omniplex, beaches, shopping, woodland walks etc. The customer service was simply exemplary! • Ben served our bar food. He was professional, cheerful and attentive. He also engaged with my sons talking about their sporting interests. • Holly was our server at breakfast. She was outstanding in terms of her professionalism, customer service and family friendly ethos. For example, she offered the boys takeaway containers filled with pastries, bananas and yoghurts as well as cutlery and serviettes. For such a young server, I was amazed to observe that she had such a great understanding of the needs of growing boys and the amount of food that they consume! • Louise, another server on duty was equally as attentive, professional, courteous and friendly. • Sophie, the Head Receptionist was on duty on reception on the second and final day of our holiday. She too was equally as professional and efficient, which was consistent with our experience with Michelle. • Mary, the Accommodation Supervisor could not have been more helpful. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed in the room. I would like to see a stronger focus on sustainability and cost containment, particularly in the dining room, given the current extremely challenging trading environment we find ourselves in. Without hesitation, I would absolutely recommend this hotel as a family friendly destination that is competitively priced and has magnificent customer service ethos.

Very comfortable room and bed .Excellent shower. Breakfast was efficient and helpful service with extra toast and hot water. Food just right. Perfect stop over from ferry. Thank you.

Lovely hotel. Spotless rooms. Food was excellent and great value. Would highly value this hotel. We had a family weekend away there and really enjoyed our time there. We will most definitely be back soon..
